Meet Our Technicians

Sarah B.

Sarah started working at WCVC in August 2005 as a vet tech and now also manages our inventory. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College in May 2005 with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology and is also a registered vet tech! In her free time, she enjoys sewing, reading, traveling, and gaming with her husband, Robert. Her favorite part about vet med is working with clients and doing inventory.


Ashley K.

Ashley started working at the clinic in December 2006.  She graduated from DMACC in May 2007 with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology.  Ashley has two dogs Tonka and Jack and also has “a few” house cats.  On her hobby farm she has several other animals including goats, chickens, and barn cats.  In her free time, she likes being outdoors and spending time with her husband Ryan and son Brecken. You may hear her referred to as “Jones” around the clinic!


Stephanie

Stephanie joined the clinic in 2012.  She graduated from Des Moines Area Community College in May 2017 with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology.  She has one Australian Shepherd named Skye and a Bernese Mountain dog named Odie.  She also has 2 cats named Oreo and Peanut.  Steph enjoys spending time with family, entertaining her child, and crocheting in her free time.


Elizabeth

Liz

Elizabeth joined the clinic in December 2020. She graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s in Animal Ecology. She has been a part of a few clinics throughout the metro area, as well as in Los Angeles, CA. Elizabeth has two shih tzus named Ellie and Aero and a cat named Wollie. In her time outside of the clinic, she enjoys live concerts (specifically Rock & Roll), walking her dogs, reading, and baking.


Molly

Molly

Molly joined the team in November 2021. She graduated from the DMACC Vet Tech program in 2016 and became a registered veterinary technician in 2017. Prior to joining us, Molly had been working at Companion Animal Clinics since 2015. She has a spunky and sweet pup named Mabel, who surrendered at our clinic. Molly enjoys working on training with Mabel and is currently studying to become a dog trainer, and also specializing in animal behavior. She is also a Fear Free Certified Professional. Outside of work and dog training, Molly loves quilting, cycling, and riding horses. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is improving the bond between pets and their caretakers.


Mel

Mel

Mel started with the clinic in July 2021 and  graduated from the DMACC Veterinary Technology program in 2015. She has 3 pets: a 12-year-old Weimaraner named Mya, 9-year-old mutt named Niko, and a tri-pod cat named Raider. In her free time, she enjoys watching trash tv, cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders and the Iowa State Cyclones. She enjoys catching sunrises, hiking with my dogs, and being a bonus mom.


Shannon

Shannon

Shannon joined the clinic in September 2023. She graduated from Simpson College in 2019. She has a 13-year-old Calico cat named Callie who loves to sunbath and beg for food. She enjoys watching sports, spending time with family and friends, listening to music, reading, and traveling.


Julie

Julie

Julie joined the clinic in October 2022 and has been a Veterinary Technician since 2000. She graduated from DMACC with an associate’s degree and Cedar Valley College as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She enjoys walking, kayaking, watching TV (she is kind of a TV junkie), listening to music, baking, and rollerblading. At home, she has a black cat named Cali and an orange tiger cat named Keystone. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is educating clients, helping animals recover from illness, and she has a strong passion for dental care and dental x-rays.


Dani

Dani joined the clinic in October 2022 as a vet tech. She has been a vet tech since 2009 and has worked in general practice as well as oncology. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, and playing with her son. She has a black cat named Cali and a spit-fire orange cat named Keystone!


Jenny

Jenny

Jenny joined the clinic in January 2024 and has been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2016. Over the course of her career, she has gained experience in general practice, surgery, and emergency medicine. Jenny has a dog named Phoebe and a cat named Ledge. In her free time, she loves spending time outdoors, with camping, hiking, kayaking, and cycling being some of her favorite activities. When she’s not out adventuring, you can find her relaxing at home with her husband, her pets, a good movie, and a glass of wine. Jenny’s favorite part of being a vet tech is playing an essential role in improving the quality of life for pets at every stage of their journey.


Bridget

Bridget

Bridget joined the clinic in January 2024. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2022 with a degree in Animal Science. She has two cats Bean and Auto who are both rescues. Bridget also raises cows on her family farm. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks, playing golf and hanging out with friends.


Megan

Megan

Megan joined the clinic in June 2023. She is a certified canine rehabilitation technician, canine fitness trainer, and canine massage therapist with over 8 years of experience in veterinary care. For the past 5 years, Megan has specialized in post surgical rehabilitation, orthotics and prosthetics, as well as palliative care. She has two pitty mixes, Axel and Auggie, a cat named Margo, and a blue-tongued skink named Marley.


Ashley Y

Ashley Y. joined the clinic in May 2019.  She graduated from DMACC in May 2019 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. Ashley Y. is passionate about social media, by managing our accounts to keep followers engaged and informed. She also coordinates community events and brings a personal touch to the clinic, decorating for the holidays and showcasing our “New Pets of the Month” in the lobby. She has a golden retriever named Kevin who loves everyone and every dog he meets as well as two domestic shorthair cats named Cletus and Ernie.  Ashley enjoys attending Iowa Wild Games, reading, and spending time with friends and family.


Chloe

Chloe

Chloe has been at WCVC since August of 2022 and started as a customer service representative and transitioned to a patient care coordinator in October 2024. She graduated from Southeastern Community College with an Associate of Arts degree. She enjoys going out to eat, traveling, shopping, watching her favorite shows, and spending quality time with friends and family! She enjoys getting to cuddle your pets at work, since she currently doesn’t have any at home!


Lexi

Lexie

Lexi joined the clinic as a Patient Care Coordinator in October 2024, bringing valuable experience from her previous role as an Assistant Manager at a dog daycare and boarding facility. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, running, and spending quality time with her friends and family. Lexi’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is forming strong connections with pets and their owners, while also helping sick pets feel better.


Kristin T.

Kristin

Kristin joined the team as a Patient Care Coordinator in September 2024, bringing experience from the rescue and boarding world. She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Vet Tech program, with the goal of becoming a licensed veterinary technician. Kristin has two cats, Oakley and Maple, and in her free time, she enjoys reading, crafting, and baking. Her favorite part of being a PCC is learning from her colleagues and being surrounded by animals and people throughout the day!


Zaven

Zaven

Zaven joined the clinic in October 2024 as a Customer Service Representative and is now a Patient Care Coordinator. He graduated from ISU and gained experience in the customer service field before transitioning to veterinary care. Zaven has a tuxedo cat named Eve, who loves cuddles and attention. In his free time, he enjoys writing fantasy stories, reading, playing video games, and watching movies with his fiancée. His favorite part of working in veterinary medicine is caring for all kinds of pets!


Caitlin Sheldon

Caitlin Sheldon

Caitlin joined the clinic as a Patient Care Coordinator in January 2025. Although she graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice, Caitlin found her way into the animal world, with experience as a farm hand and working in general practice at a local vet clinic. She moved to the area from Omaha in 2020, where she met her partner, Kevin. Together, they have a cat named Chance, a German Shepherd/Catahoula mix named Ragnar, and a Siberian Husky named Kita. Caitlin enjoys boxing, ice skating, archery, hiking, and traveling, particularly to National Parks. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is working alongside people who share her love and compassion for animals.


Caitlin Stover

Caitlin joined the clinic in June 2024 as the Lead Vet Tech. She brings a strong educational background, holding a BS in Animal Science, an MS in Biomedical Science, Fear Free certification, professional dog trainer certification (KA), and is a registered vet tech. Caitlin has extensive experience, having worked with rescues at the ARL in shelter medicine, as well as in the ER, general practice, and at the ISU Animal Welfare Research Lab. Caitlin and her fiancé share their home with a variety of animals, including Peaches the bully mix, Bill the husky/rottie mix, Princeton the lab/shepherd mix, three cats—Bindi, Gatsby, and Smokey—and a bearded dragon named Meatlug. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing video games, dog training, and sewing. Caitlin’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is learning something new every day.


Darian

Darian

Darian joined the clinic in January 2025 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated from the DMACC Vet Tech program in 2015 and has since worked in general practice as well as oncology at a local ER clinic. Darian is married to her wonderful husband, and they share their home with cats named Earendil and Galadriel. Outside of work, Darian enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly camping and kayaking. She’s also passionate about cooking—she can make an amazing curry—and loves weightlifting and dining out. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is using her knowledge to provide gold-standard care to patients and to educate and guide clients.


Miranda

Miranda

Miranda joined Waukee Clive Vet in October 2020, took a year off to practice veterinary medicine in Hawaii, and is now back with us as a registered veterinary technician. She got her degree at ISU and comes with a decade of experience in general practice, ER/ICU, and surgery across Iowa, Washington, and Hawaii, Miranda has a diverse background in veterinary care. She also worked at the Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue & Education Center. Miranda is the proud owner of a Catahoula named Newton, a Beagle/Cocker Spaniel mix named Fig, and a Dachshund named Mochi. Outside of work, she loves traveling, hiking, thrifting, playing board games, and anything involving the beach or ocean. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is building strong relationships with clients and patients while providing top-notch care to both healthy and ailing pets.
