Melissa

Melissa joined the clinic in September 2024 as our Office Manager. She holds a BA in Business Management from Grand View University (2015). Prior to joining the veterinary world, Melissa managed a local dog daycare and lodging facility, worked briefly in corporate management, and returned to her passion for animals in 2022 as a supervisor at another pet care facility.

When she’s not at the clinic, she is surrounded by her four/three-legged family: Elijah, her protective loving Aussie/Border Collie mix; Emmaline, her sweet and food driven tripod Golden Retriever; Emerson, a black cat with the personality of a dog; Eloise, a sweet black cat that she took in at 2 weeks old. Melissa loves spending quality time with her pets and takes them on as many adventures as she can. She’s also an aunt and enjoys keeping busy with her niece and nephews.

Her favorite aspect of working in veterinary medicine is witnessing the positive impact of the care we provide, helping sick pets feel better, and building meaningful connections with both the pets and their owners. She also loves how much she learns from the doctors and vet techs every day!
