Maria joined the clinic as a Customer Service Representative in August 2023. A proud University of Iowa graduate (Go Hawks!), she previously managed a dog daycare in Iowa City before relocating to Des Moines with her cat Zuko and her beagle mix, Lucy, in the summer of 2023. When she isn’t at work, she enjoys reading, gaming, and coloring when she’s being a homebody. She also loves taking her pup for walks, going out to eat, and brewery-hopping around Des Moines with friends. Maria’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is the opportunity to continuously learn about pet care and share that knowledge with clients. And of course, the puppy and kitten snuggles and kisses are a bonus!
